"I was so appalled at what Aris said on the fifth night that I could not stop crying."

"I feel a little sad," she says. "For some of the ones that I feel are really blatantly harassing it seems to me that maybe there should be something harsher for it, but maybe not everybody agrees and maybe not even Microsoft agrees."
For what? For getting a little heated over the net during a game, and calling you a 'bitch'?

Good grief! It's not like some of you don't go out of the way to provoke the opposition, is it?
"Get back in the kitchen?" she says. "I'm not in the kitchen because I'm here kicking your ass on video games, that's what I'm good at."
We're sitting in her living room in Wisconsin, listening to audio recordings she makes when she goes online to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. It's a combat-based video game, where players can talk to each other via headsets.
The recordings end up on Haniver's website, Not in the Kitchen Any More.
/facepalm

A plague on both their houses...

If they think the abuse is bad there, you should try the Forza 4 online games at xBox Live. It's full of rancid mouthed (mostly scots) people in a swearing competition.

I tried it for three days and then just cancelled my subscription to xBox live. Microsoft's loss as far as I'm concerned.

I cannot help but smile at the professional civvies who indulge in such computer games as "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" ...

Those self same people, were they asked or god forbid, compelled to do it for real, would no doubt run a mile and scream for months about the infringements of their human rights ..

In the MMO I used to play far too much most of the alliance command structure were military types. They certainly wouldn't have been sobbing over a few insults.

Those guys were not even bothered about real life incidents, such as car bombs at the base gates ..."AFK 5, moving burning trucks"

Online or offline it's an insult to the entire female sex when grown women cry like little girls when the big boys don't want to play with them.

Take the hint, grow up and organise your own game. How hard can that be, really.

Ah, but 'war games' allow the reporters that vicarious 'poking fun at the military' option racing games don't offer...

Oh, indeed!
