Hey, Don’t All Laugh…

…after all, are our police and social workers really any better?
Captain Austin, a police officer with 36-years experience, initially said he was sceptical about the family's claims but that he had been convinced after visiting the home and conducting interviews with the family.
Replace the words ‘demons’ with ‘celebrity paedos’ and it could well be a report on the Savile/Roach/Travis cases.
The family's claims have been supported by priests, police captain Austin and family service caseworkers - all of whom have stated they believe a supernatural evil resides in the house.
Hey, our social services are prone to credulousness and gullibility too.
Not everyone is swallowing the bizarre story however. After visiting the family home a local doctor described Ammons in his notes as "delusional" and wrote about "delusions of ghost in home" and "hallucinations."
Sadly, our doctors often don’t show half the common sense of this one.
The paper reports that the children were eventually removed from the family home, and Ms Ammons moved from the property.
The day after the children were taken from Ammons the hospital chaplain called on Rev. Mike Maginot to carry out an exorcism on the children and their mother.
The children were returned six months later when the problems subsided.
*sigh*

What do you mean "Sadly, our doctors often don’t show half the common sense of this one"

There were plenty of "officials" who felt the claims were true and a great deal more can be found on the story than that independant link.

I have an open mind on these matters but a disbelieving doctor dosen't prove anything does it,or your 'sigh!, maybe the exorcism did the trick in the end.

I'm sure that pointless charade didn't alter anything.

Not quite as simple as that Julia. Involved in this were the local police chief, a DCS caseworker, a child psychologist, a nurse and a priest.
The woman was reported for child neglect and the usual suspects descended on her. The family was being examined by a doctor and the social work crew when manifestations broke out and put the fear of God into them. The bluebottles were called--lead by the Chief and what happened next frightened them to the extent that the Chief and his men literally fled in fear of their lives. All of the above have put what happened in their official reports--which is not likely to do their future careers a lot of good. I think it is likely something out of the ordinary has happened here. I suspect a poltergeist situation rather than "demons" but something is going on. Assuming the whole thing was not made up by the tabloids.
